Just a week ago, things started to heat up on the possibilities of Nokia working on Android device. Despite the recent acquisition of Nokia by Microsoft, the effort hasn't been turned down due to the fact that the acquisition is not yet fully done.
These rumours had originated from China, and yes we mentioned China because that it where most of Nokia's R&D work is going. The prototype codename "Mountain View" is still pretty much in development and has been said to delivered almost 10 thousand prototypes for testing purpose by Foxconn!
On the technical side, the Mountain View is said running on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 200 chipset and is intended to be an affordable device. However though, we wouldn't be surprised if the project does get turned down anytime of the day but we will definitely see the project running at least until the end of the year before Microsoft's acquisition of Nokia is fully secured. Personally, I would love to see an Android powered Nokia device one day as it will bring more variety to the market.
In the mean time, you can head over to Nokia's website @ www.nokia.com for more information on their stunning Nokia Lumia powered by Windows Phone 8.
